Lexington Christian Academy defeated Somerset by a score of 39-12. Lexington Christian Academy recorded 23 first downs and 454 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized seven times for 75 yards and had two passes intercepted. Somerset recorded 15 first downs and 185 yards of total offense. The Briar Jumpers were penalized four times for 30 yards and lost three fumbles.
Dillon Wheatley led LCA’s ground game with 118 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries. Logan Nieves carried the ball 17 times for 84 yards and two touchdowns. Logan Nieves completed 13 of 20 passes for 252 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions. Drayden Burton caught four passes for 126 yards. Caelen Lebryk added five receptions for 112 yards and a touchdown. Drayden Burton led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles. Blane Hardin added three solo and three assisted tackles.
Ty Tevis led Somerset’s ground game with 11 yards on three carries. Alex Miller carried the ball five times for 10 yards. Mason Reese completed 12 of 32 passes for 160 yards and a touchdown. Jackson Cooper caught three passes for 70 yards and a touchdown. Josh Cornett added six receptions for 49 yards. Josh Cornett returned four kickoffs for 121 yards. Ty Tevis led the defense with nine solo and five assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. Peyton Hatcher added six solo and five assisted tackles. Tate Madden also intercepted a pass.
