Eastern Kentucky coach Chrissy Roberts started the following lineup: 5-11 Fr. Bria Bass, 5-11 Jr. Abby Wright, 6-2 Jr. Madison Pierce, 5-7 Fr. Emely Rosario, and 5-8 So. Shay Solomon. Bowling Green coach Jennifer Roos countered with 6-1 So. Andrea Cecil, 6-0 Sr. Haley Puk, 6-3 So. Jane Uecker, 5-8 Jr. Sydney Lambert, and 5-10 Jr. Carly Santoro.
Bowling Green outscored Eastern Kentucky 33-20 in the second quarter to take control of the game on their way to a 77-60 victory. Bowling Green shot 42.1% from the field including eight of 20 from the three point line. The Falcons connected on 21 of 30 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 30 points off 18 Eastern Kentucky turnovers. Eastern Kentucky shot 41.8% from the field including five of 15 from beyond the arc. The Colonels connected on nine of 10 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored six points off five Bowling Green turnovers.
Carly Santoro led Bowling Green with 30 points including three three point baskets, 11 of 14 free throws, and pulled down 10 rebounds. Haley Puk added 11 points. Andrea Cecil chipped in with eight points. 5-11 Fr. Sierra Thompson recorded eight points and eight rebounds.
5-8 Jr. A’Queen Hayes led Eastern Kentucky with 13 points, five rebounds, and five assists. 6-3 Sr. Madison Wood added 12 points and six rebounds. Abby Wright recorded 11 points including three three point baskets and six rebounds.
