Henry Clay coach Eric Sanford started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Braxton Price, 5-5 Jr. Grace Branchini, 5-7 Jr. Kiya Thompson, 5-3 Jr. Christian Gatewood, and 5-4 Sr. Alexis Lutz.  Frederick Douglass coach Shawn Ransom countered with 5-9 Jr. Destyne Jackson, 5-7 Fr. Niyaunne Gentry, 5-10 Sr. Shawna Fogle,  5-6 8th Grade Timoti Williams, and 5-6 So. Ashanti  Hollingsworth.

 

Henry Clay defeated Frederick Douglass by a score of 59-40.  Henry Clay shot 29.4% from the field including four of 24 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on 15 of 29 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 32 Frederick Douglass turnovers.  Frederick Douglass shot 35.3% from the field including two of eight from beyond the arc.  The Broncos connected on 14 of 28 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored eight points off Henry Clay turnovers.

 

Kiya Thompson led Henry Clay with 33 points including three three point baskets and five rebounds.  5-8 8th Grade Amiya Jenkins added 12 points and 10 rebounds.

 

Destyne Jackson led Frederick Douglass with 29 points, six rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Ashanti Hollingsworth added four points and 14 rebounds.
