Casey County coach Tara Weddle started the following lineup: 5-8 So. Natalie Duggins, 5-6 So. Jordyn Stephens, 5-9 So. Gena Cravens, 5-5 So. Lauren Lee, and 5-6 Sr. Myla McGowan. Wayne County coach Mark McKinley countered with 5-8 Fr. Macey Blevins, 5-8 Fr. Alyssa Conn, 5-10 8th Grade Mallory Campbell, 5-5 Fr. Jade Turner, and 5-6 So. Haleigh Criswell.
Casey County outscored Wayne County 18-8 in the final quarter to defeat the Lady Cardinals by a score of 50-38. Casey County shot 28% from the field including five of 23 from the three point line. The Lady Rebels connected on 19 of 24 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 18 Wayne County turnovers. Wayne County shot 37% from the field including four of 16 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cardinals connected on four of eight free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and did not score off seven Casey County turnovers.
Gena Cravens led Casey County with 18 points including eight of nine free throws and five rebounds. Myla McGowan added nine points on three three point baskets. Lauren Lee also scored nine points.
Macey Blevins led Wayne County with 20 points including three three point baskets and 12 rebounds. Alyssa Conn added nine points.
