Butler coach Larry Just started the following lineup: 5-7 Sr. Brittney Just, 5-7 Jr. Jasmine Elder, 6-3 Sr. Molly Lockhart, 5-1 Jr. Jabriel Kelly, and 5-7 Jr. Jaida Wiggins.  TRC Academy coach Lee Anya Osei countered with 6-1 Sr. Xianna Josephs, 6-1 Jr. Makayla Ennis, 6-1 Sr. Savannah Day, 5-8 Jr. Aliyah Fraser, and 5-9 Jr. Aerial Wilson.

 

Butler led 35-16 at halftime on their way to a 59-43 victory over TRC Academy.  Butler shot 44.2% from the field including three of 11 from the three point line.  The Bearettes connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 17 TRC Academy turnovers.  TRC Academy shot 34.1% from the field including nine of 18 from beyond the arc.  They connected on four of seven free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 11 Butler turnovers.

 

Molly Lockhart led Butler with 23 points, 13 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Jasmine Elder added 15 points, three assists, and three steals.  Jaida Wiggins recorded 13 points.

 

5-9 So. Aaliyah Arab-Smith led TRC Academy with 15 points on five three point baskets.  Aerial Wilson added 10 points and five assists.  Makayla Ennis chipped in with nine points.
