Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Scott Chalk started the following lineup: 6-3 Jr. Michael Corio, 6-2 Jr. Jared Gadd, 6-5 Jr. Trevor Rogers, 5-10 Sr. JaQuice Gray, and 6-2 Jr. Isaiah Allen.  Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III countered with 6-1 Sr. Cameron King, 5-11 Sr. Eric Powell, 6-9 So. Ray Suratt, 5-10 Jr. Evan Dreux, and 5-11 Sr. Fousseyni Diallo.

 

Lafayette trailed 47-38 at halftime but rallied in the second half to defeat Paul Laurence Dunbar by a score of 86-73.  Dunbar went cold from the field in the second half only shooting 35% after the intermission.  There were five lead changes and six ties in the game.  Lafayette shot 46.8% from the field including eight of 23 from the three point line.  The Generals connected on 20 of 22 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 31 points off 23 Dunbar turnovers.  Dunbar shot 47.9% from the field including five of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Bulldogs connected on 22 of 25 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 12 Lafayette turnovers.

 

Ray Suratt led Lafayette with 25 points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Eric Powell added 19 points including nine of 10 free throws, six rebounds, and three steals.  Cameron King recorded 15 points on five three point baskets.

 

Michael Allen led Dunbar with 25 points including 11 of 12 free throws.  JaQuice Gray and Jared Gadd each scored 16 points.  Michael Corio pulled down 11 rebounds.
