Lexington Christian Academy coach Nate Valentine started the following lineup: 6-7 Sr. Carter Hendricksen, 6-7 Jr. Kyle Rode, 6-6 Sr. Austin Hall, 6-0 Jr. Pearce Dalton, and 6-2 Jr. Will Hacker. Scott County coach Billy Hicks countered with 6-2 Sr. Cooper Robb, 6-1 Jt. Bryce Long, 6-7 Jr. Michael Moreno, 5-11 Jr. Glenn Covington, and 6-0 Jr. Lorenzo Williams.
Scott County pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Lexington Christian Academy by a score of 68-59. LCA trailed 39-38 after three quarters but suffered a blow when Kyle Rode left the game late in the third quarter with a foot injury. The score was tied 11 times and there were 10 lead changes in the game. Scott County shot 45.3% from the field including eight of 23 from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on 12 of 15 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 16 LCA turnovers. LCA shot 42% from the field including seven of 18 from beyond the arc. The Eagles connected on 10 of 14 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 12 points off nine Scott County turnovers.
Bryce Long led Scott County with 19 points including three three point baskets. Michael Moreno added 18 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocked shots. 5-8 Jr. Cam Fluker chipped in with 10 points. Cooper Robb and 5-9 Jr. Diablo Stewart each scored nine points.
Carter Hendricksen led LCA with 28 points including five three point baskets and 11 rebounds. Austin Hall added 12 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Kyle Rode recorded 11 points, nine rebounds, and three assists.
