Eastern Kentucky University coach Dan McHale started the following lineup: 6-7 Sr. Zach Charles, 6-5 Fr. AJ Youngman, 6-9 Jr. Nick Mayo, 5-11 So. Asante Gist, and 6-4 Fr. Dedric Boyd.  Northern Kentucky University coach John Brannen countered with 6-6 So. Carson Williams, 6-5 Fr. Jalen Tate, 6-7 Jr. Drew McDonald, 6-1 Sr. Lavone Holland II, and 6-5 Sr. Jordan Garnett.

Northern Kentucky led 37-29 at halftime and shot 71,4% from the field in the second half to pull away for a 91-63 victory over Eastern Kentucky.  Northern Kentucky shot 60% from the field including five of 22 from the three point line.  They connected on eight of 11 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 14 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 45.5% from the field including eight of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on five of 11 free throws, pulled own 24 rebounds, and scored 13 points off nine Northern Kentucky turnovers.

Drew McDonald led Northern Kentucky University with 23 points and nine rebounds.  McDonald was 10 of 13 from the field including zero of three from beyond the arc, and three of four free throws.  Carson Williams added 21 points, six rebounds, three assists, and five steals.  Williams was nine of 10 from the field and three of four from the free throw line.  Lavonne Holland II chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and four assists.  6-5 So. Dantez Walton also scored 10 points and pulled down four rebounds.

6-8 Jr. Jackson Davis led Eastern Kentucky University with 13 points.  Asante Gist added 12 points including two three point baskets and five assists.  Nick Mayo chipped in with nine points and four rebounds.  Zach Charles recorded seven points and nine rebounds.
