Waggener coach Bryan McNeill Sr. started the following lineup: 6-4 Jr. Cobie Montgomery, 6-4 Jr. Jaago Kalakon, 6-5 Sr. Ben Simic, 6-0 Jr. Kevion Hudson, and 6-2 Sr. Josiah Williams. Scott County coach Billy Hicks countered with 6-2 Sr. Cooper Robb, 6-0 Jr. Lorenzo Williams, 6-7 Jr. Michael Moreno, 5-9 Jr. Diablo Stewart, and 6-1 Jr. Bryce Long.
Scott County shot a blistering 61.3% from the field in a 97-82 victory over Waggener. Scott County shot 61,3% from the field including four of 11 from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on 17 of 27 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 37 points off 32 Waggener turnovers. Waggener shot 48.2% from the field including seven of 21 from beyond the arc. The Wildcats connected on 21 of 28 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 30 points off 29 Scott County turnovers.
Michael Moreno led Scott County with 24 points, eight rebounds, and three steals. Bryce Long added 16 points, five rebounds, and three steals. Cooper Robb recorded 14 points and three steals. Lorenzo Williams chipped in with 13 points and three steals. Diablo Stewart also reached double figures with 12 points and three assists.
Jaago Kalakon led Waggener with 21 points including 11 of 13 free throws, nine rebounds, and three steals. Josiah Williams added 14 points including three three point baskets. 6-3 Jr. Nicholas Brewer also scored 14 points.
