Lafayette coach Allison Denton started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Caroline Bennett, 5-9 Sr. Tekiya Garr-Carter, 5-10 Jr. Macey Goff, 5-3 Sr. Terri Abram, and 5-7 Jr. Lindi DeBilzan.  South Laurel coach Jon Walker countered with 5-8 Sr. Taylor Cromer, 5-8 Jr. Mariah Anders, 6-0 Jr. Dianna Morgan, 5-6 So. Ally Collett, and 5-7 So. Amerah Steele.

 

South Laurel defeated Lafayette for the championship by a score of 54-47.  South Laurel shot 51.3% from the field including five of 11 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on nine of 11 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 15 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 34% from the field including four of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Generals connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 18 South Laurel turnovers.

 

Dianna Morgan led South Laurel with 20 points and seven rebounds.  Ally Collett added 16 points including two three point baskets.  Taylor Cromer recorded 11 points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals.

 

Caroline Bennett led Lafayette with 21 points including four three point baskets, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Terri Abram added 13 points and four rebounds.
