Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Nick Runyon started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Peyton Humphreys, 5-7 Sr. Anaiyah Cotton, 6-0 Fr. Elise Ellison-Coons, 5-5 Sr. Mashayla Cecil, and 5-7 Jr. Cheyenne Fullwood.  Estill County coach Ruth Hughes countered with 5-4 Jr. Kiely Flynn, 5-4 Jr. Meagan Bellamy, 5-8 Jr. Amy Brewer, 5-4 Sr. Savannah Brewer, and 5-7 8th Grade Mia Hale.

 

Paul Laurence Dunbar led 22-13 after the first quarter on their way to a 67-50 victory over Estill County.  Dunbar shot 39% from the field including four of 14 from the three point line.  The Lady Bulldogs connected on 17 of 27 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 14 Estill County turnovers.  Estill County shot 39.6% from the field including two of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Engineers connected on 10 of 16 passes, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored nine points off six Dunbar turnovers.

 

Mashayla Cecil led Paul Laurence Dunbar with 29 points including eight of 11 free throws, four rebounds, and three steals.  Cheyenne Fullwood added 12 points including two three point baskets and six rebounds.  Elise Ellison-Coons recorded eight points and 12 rebounds.

 

Amy Brewer led Estill County with 18 points, nine rebounds, and three assists.  Mia Hale added 11 points including two three point baskets and eight rebounds.  Kiely Flynn chipped in with eight points and four rebounds.

Mashayla Cecil, Peyton Humphreys, and Elise Ellison-Coons (Paul Laurence Dunbar) and Meagan Bellamy and Amy Brewer (Estill County) were named to the All Tournament Team from these two teams.
