Eastern Kentucky University coach Dan McHale started the following lineup: 6-8 Jr. Jackson Davis, 6-4 Fr. Dedric Boyd, 6-9 Jr. Nick Mayo, 5-10 So. Dujuanta Weaver, and 6-2 Fr. JacQuess Hobbs.  Jacksonville State University coach Ray Harper countered with 6-7 Jr. Christian Cunningham, 6-3 Jr. Jamall Gregory, 7-0 Sr. Norbertas Giga, 5-10 So. Tyrik Edwards, and 6-2 Sr. Malcol Drumwright.

Jacksonville State led 32-14 at halftime and controlled the boards (57-23) in a 76-58 victory over Eastern Kentucky.  Jacksonville State University shot 40.3% from the field including three of 17 from the three point line.  The Gamecocks connected on 23 of 32 free throws, pulled down 57 rebounds, and scored 12 points of 11 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 36.2% from the field including four of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 12 of 19 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 10 points off Jacksonville State turnovers.

6-3 Jr. Marlon Hunter led Jacksonville State with 20 points and five rebounds.  Norbertas Giga added 14 points and 13 rebounds.  6-7 Jr. Jason Burnell recorded 11 points, eight rebounds, and four assists.

6-7 Sr. Zach Charles led Eastern Kentucky with 13 points and six rebounds.  Nick Mayo added 11 points, six rebounds, and two blocked shots.  6-6 So. DeAndre Dishman recorded 11 points and three rebounds. 6-0 Sr. Dillon Avare chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets.
