Lexington Christian Academy coach Nate Valentine started the following lineup: 6-7 Sr. Carter Hendrickson, 6-7 Jr. Kyle Rose, 6-6 Sr. Austin Hall, 6-0 Jr. Pearce Dalton, and 6-2 Jr. Will Hacker.  Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-5 Sr. Zan Payne, 6-3 Sr. TC Price, 6-7 Sr. Max Sparkman, 5-11 Jr. Javen Hardin, and 6-0 Sr. Keegan Bailey.

 

Lexington Christian Academy led 18-7 after the first quarter but Lexington Catholic stepped up the defense and outscored the Eagles 45-22 over the rest of the game to earn a 52-40 victory.  Lexington Catholic recorded 18 steals and scored 24 points off 22 Lexington Christian Academy turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 40.5% from the field including two of 14 from the three point line.  The Knights connected on 16 of 25 free throws and 24 rebounds.  LCA shot 39.4% from the field including seven of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored four points off nine Lexington Catholic turnovers.

 

Zan Payne led Lexington Catholic with 20 points, six rebounds, and six steals.  Javen Hardin added 13 points, three rebounds, three assists, and three steals. 

 

Will Hacker led Lexington Christian Academy with 10 points including three three point baskets.  Carter Hendrickson added nine points including two three point baskets and nine rebounds.  Kyle Rode recorded eight points and eight rebounds.  Austin Hall chipped in with eight points, six rebounds, and three blocked shots.
