Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey started the following lineup: 5-7 So. Taleya Todd, 5-7 Sr. Blaze Pacheco, 5-10 So. Je’Kauri McKeithen, 5-5 Sr. Bailey Vanover, and 5-6 Jr. Madison Barnard. Lexington Christian Academy coach Michael Menifee countered with 5-8 Jr. Grace Combs, 5-6 So. MacKenzie Buckler, 6-0 Fr. Emilie Teall, 5-6 So. Jaylin McClanahan, and 5-8 Jr. Bethany Selby.
Madison Central defeated Lexington Christian Academy by a score of 50-44. The Indians led 28-18 at halftime and withstood a late rally by LCA to earn the victory. Madison Central led by Je’Kauri McKeithen’s 20 points and 10 rebounds dominated scoring in the paint by a 26-14 advantage over the Eagles. Madison Central shot 41.3% from the field including zero of 11 from the three point line. The Indians connected on 12 of 19 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 11 LCA turnovers. LCA shot 36.2% from the field including two of 12 from beyond the arc. The Eagles connected on eight of 11 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 13 Madison Central turnovers.
Je’Kauri McKeithen led Madison Central with 20 points and 10 rebounds. McKeithen was 10 of 11 from the field and zero of two from the free throw line. Bailey Vanover added 12 points and seven rebounds. Taleya Todd recorded 11 points, five rebounds, and five steals. Madison Barnard chipped in with seven points and three rebounds.
Bethany Selby led Lexington Christian Academy with 26 points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, and four steals. Grace Combs added nine points and five assists. Emilie Teall recorded six points, six rebounds, and six blocked shots. 5-8 Fr. Gracie Royalty pulled down six rebounds.
