Nelson County coach Troy Thomas started the following lineup:  5-10 Sr. Marly Walls, 5-11 Fr. Ella Thompson, 6-0 Sr. Loren Seely, 5-5 So. Zaria Burton, and 5-6 Fr. Amelia Hodges.  Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-11 Sr. Grace Berger, 5-7 Sr. Kia Sivils, 6-0 So. Kristen Clemons, 5-6 Jr. Ashlee Harris, and 5-7 Sr. Kiki Samsel.

Sacred Heart Academy defeated Nelson County by a score of 74-35.  The Valkyries outscored Nelson County 32-13 in the third quarter. Sacred Heart shot 51.7% from the field including 10 of 19 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on four of eight free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 29 points off 19 Nelson County turnovers.  Nelson County shot 24.5% from the field including three of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cards connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored six points off 12 Sacred Heart Academy turnovers.

Kiki Samsel led Sacred Heart Academy with 16 points including four three point baskets.  Grace Berger added 15 points and 12 rebounds.  5-5 So. Erin Toller recorded nine points.  Kristen Clemons added eight points, six rebounds, and two blocked shots.

Marly Walls led Nelson County with 13 points and six rebounds.  Amelia Hodges added 10 points including three three point baskets and three assists.  Loren Seely recorded seven points and six rebounds.
