Jacksonville State coach Rick Pietri started the following lineup:6-1 Sr. Tasha McGruder, 5-8 Sr. Gretchen Morrison, 6-1 Jr. Rayven Pearson, 5-6 Fr. Taylor Hawks, and 5-8 Fr. Kiana Johnson.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Chrissy Roberts countered with 5-11 Jr. Abby Wright, 5-11 Fr. Bria Bass, 6-2 Jr. Madison Pierce, 5-8 Jr. A’Queen Hayes, and 5-8 So. Shay Solomon.

Eastern Kentucky University defeated Jacksonville State 48-44.  The score was tied four times and there were five lead changes in the game.  Eastern Kentucky shot 44.2% from the field including two of 11 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on eight of 13 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 10 Jacksonville State turnovers.  Jacksonville State shot 33.3% from the field including three of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Gamecocks connected on three of eight free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 20 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

A’Queen Hayes led Eastern Kentucky with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and two steals.  Shay Solomon added 12 points and four rebounds.  Bria Bass chipped in with nine points and four rebounds.  Abby Wright recorded eight points, nine rebounds, and two assists.

Taylor Hawks led Jacksonville State with 12 points including two three point baskets.  6-1 Sr. Tyler Phelion added 10 points, five rebounds, and three steals.  5-3 Jr. Leah Strain chipped in with eight points.
