Madison Central vs. Henry Clay (Boys)

Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Dustin Gerald, 6-1 Sr. Kenyon McKee, 6-8 Jr. Isaiah Cozart, 5-10 Sr. Isaiah Minter, and 5-11 Sr. Jacori Miller.  Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-2 Jr. Harris Hawkins, 6-1 Sr. Jalen Williams, 6-4 Sr. Andreus Green, 5-10 So. Marquez Warrick, and 6-0 Jr. Keaston Brown.

 

Marquez Warrick nailed a three point basket with 0.9 seconds remaining on the clock to give Henry Clay a 65-63 victory over Madison Central in a game that had seven ties and nine lead changes.  Henry Clay shot 51% from the field including seven of 14 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on eight of 10 free throws, pulled down 17 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 10 Madison Central turnovers.  Madison central shot 50% from the field including five of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on 18 of 22 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored eight points off nine Henry Clay turnovers.

 

Keaston Brown led Henry Clay with 21 points including three three point baskets.  Harris Hawkins added 17 points including three three point baskets.  Marquez Warrick recorded 13 points, four rebounds, and three assists.

 

Isaiah Cozart led Madison Central with 18 points, 13 rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Isaiah Minter added 17 points including four three point baskets, four rebounds, and three assists.  Dustin Gerald recorded 12 points and four rebounds.
