Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown started the following lineup: 6-2 Jr. Harris Hawkins, 6-1 Sr. Jalen Williams, 6-4 Sr. Andreus Green, 5-10 So. Marquez Warrick, and 6-0 Jr. Keaston Brown.  Scott County coach Billy Hicks countered with 6-2 Sr. Cooper Robb, 6-1 Jr. Bryce Long, 6-7 Jr. Michael Moreno, 5-9 Jr. Diablo Stewart, and 5-11 Jr. Glenn Covington.

 

Scott County led 52-49 after three quarters and pulled away late for a 73-65 victory.  There were five lead changes and two ties in this game.  Scott County shot 47.1% from the field including seven of 20 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 18 of 22 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 16 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 43.4% from the field including five of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Blue Devils connected on 14 of 16 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored nine points off 10 Scott County turnovers.

 

Michael Moreno led Scott County with 28 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, and five blocked shots.  Cooper Robb added 10 points, four rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals.  Diablo Stewart chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets and five assists.

 

Marquez Warrick led Henry Clay with 19 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and two assists.  Keaston Brown added 16 points.  Andreus Green recorded 11 points and eight rebounds.  Harris Hawkins chipped in with nine points including two three point baskets and seven rebounds.
