Lafayette vs. Conner (Girls)

Lafayette coach Allison Denton started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Lindi DeBilzan, 5-8 Sr. Caroline Bennett, 5-10 Sr. Tekiya Garr-Carter, 5-7 Sr. Terri Abram, and 5-8 Fr. Rylie Grantz.  Conner coach Aaron Stamm countered with 5-10 Jr. Maddie Burcham, 5-6 Sr. Madi McLemore, 6-0 So. Maddie Drummonds, 5-3 Jr. Courtney Hurst, and 5-5 Jr. Savannah Jordan.

 

Conner defeated Lafayette by a score of 51-36.  Conner shot 30.9% from the field including four of 18 from the three point line.  The Lady Cougars connected on 13 of 21 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 23 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 35.3% from the field including three of nine from beyond the arc.  The Lady Generals connected on nine of 15 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored five points off nine Conner turnovers.

 

Maddie Burcham led Conner with 18 points, six rebounds, and three steals.  Courtney Hurst added seven points and four rebounds.  5-8 Sr. Blair Kennedy pulled down eight rebounds.

 

Caroline Bennett led Lafayette with 14 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, and two assists.  Tekiya Garr-Carter added nine points and four rebounds.  Lindi DeBilzan recorded eight points, five rebounds, and two blocked shots.
