Campbell County coach Beau Menifee started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. McKenzie Schwarber, 5-7 Sr. Lexi Stapleton, 5-10 So. Tamara Wells, 5-5 So. Mallory Holbrook, and 5-5 Sr. Taylor Clos.  Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-11 Sr. Grace Berger, 5-7 Sr. Kia Sivils, 6-0 So. Kristen Clemons, 5-6 Jr. Ashlee Harris, and 5-7 Sr. Kiki Samsel.

 

5-5 So. Erin Toller hit two free throws with nine seconds remaining on the clock to give Sacred Heart Academy a 59-58 victory over Campbell County.  Campbell County had two opportunities in the closing seconds but missed a shot and a put back for the win.  The Lady Camels raced out to an early 22-11 lead but the Valkyries rallied back to earn the victory.  There were six ties and six lead changes in this game.

 

Sacred Heart shot 41.8% from the field including two of nine from the three point line.  Sacred Heart attempted 18 more shots (55-37) from the field than Campbell County.  The Valkries connected on 11 of 13 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 14 Campbell County turnovers.  Campbell County shot 54.1% from the field including seven of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Camels connected on 11 of 15 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored seven points off five Sacred Heart turnovers.

 

Grace Berger led Sacred Heart with 21 points and 12 rebounds.  Erin Toller added 12 points and five rebounds.  Ashlee Harris also scored 12 points.  Kia Sivils recorded seven points, five rebounds, and three steals.  Kristen Clemons chipped in with seven points and four rebounds.

 

Taylor Clos led Campbell County with 29 points including three three point baskets and three rebounds.  McKenzie Schwarber added eight points, 10 rebounds, and three assists.  Lexi Stapleton recorded eight points and four rebounds.
