Bryan Station coach Tommy Johnson Jr. Started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Eric Boone, 6-2 Sr. Terrance Clayton-Murphy, 6-2 Jr. Jalen Burbage, 5-11 Fr. Myles Morones, and 5-11 Jr. Kendrick Curry. Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III countered with 6-3 Sr. Eric Powell, 6-1 Sr. Cameron King, 6-1 Sr. Devontae Hayes, 5-11 Sr. Alassane Diallo, and 6-0 Sr. Ean Shaw.
Lafayette took control early, leading 25-13 after the first quarter on their way to an 83-67 victory over Bryan Station. Lafayette shot 50.8% from the field including four of 16 from the three point line. The Generals connected on 19 of 29 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 21 Bryan Station turnovers. Bryan Station shot 39% from the field including three of 12 from beyond the arc. The Defenders connected on 18 of 33 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 22 Lafayette turnovers.
6-9 So. Ray Suratt led Lafayette with 18 points, seven rebounds, and four blocked shots. Eric Powell added 17 points including eight of 10 free throws, four rebounds, three assists, and four steals. 6-2 Jr. TeAndre Newcombe recorded 12 points, four rebounds, and five assists. 5-10 Jr. Evan Dreux chipped in with 11 points and four rebounds.
Eric Boone led Bryan Station with 26 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, and five steals. Terrance Clayton-Murphy added nine points and seven rebounds. Kendrick Curry recorded eight points and six rebounds.
