Wayne County vs. Pulaski County (Girls)

February 15, 2018

 

Wayne County coach Mark McKinley started the following lineup: 5-8 Fr. Alyssa Conn, 5-6 So. Haleigh Criswell, 5-10 8th Grade Mallory Campbell, 5-5 Fr. Jade Turner, and 5-8 Fr. Macey Blevins.  Pulaski County coach Chris Adkins countered with 5-9 Jr. Ashley Comer, 5-5 Fr. Madelyn Dunn, 5-10 So. Heidi Thompson, 5-3 So. Ashlynn Pennington, and 5-5 So. Haylee Ridner.

 

Wayne County defeated Pulaski County by a score of 62-46.  Wayne County shot 52% from the field including two of 10 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 24 of 33 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored six points off 14 Pulaski County turnovers.  Pulaski County shot 33% from the field including seven of 27 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Maroons connected on nine of 19 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored two points off 20 Wayne County turnovers.

 

Macey Blevins led Wayne County with 38 points including 20 of 22 free throws, seven rebounds, four assists, and five steals.  Alyssa Conn added 13 points.  Mallory Campbell pulled down seven rebounds.

 

Haylee Ridner led Pulaski County with 17 points including three three point baskets and five rebounds.  Heidi Thompson added 11 points.
