Lafayette coach Michael Mendenhall III started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Eric Powell, 6-1 Sr. Cameron King, 6-9 So. Ray Suratt, 5-10 Jr. Evan Dreux, and 6-2 Sr. Devontae Hayes. Lexington Christian Academy coach Nate Valentine countered with 6-7 Sr. Carter Hendrickson, 6-7 Jr. Kyle Rode, 6-6 Sr. Austin Hall, 6-0 Jr. Pearce Dalton, and 6-2 So. Will Hacker.
Lexington Christian Academy raced out to a 19-6 first quarter lead on their way to a 72-46 victory over Lafayette. LCA shot 43.9% from the field including six of 19 from the three point line. The Eagles connected on 16 of 19 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 11 Lafayette turnovers. Lafayette shot 35.6% from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc. The Generals connected on 10 of 19 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored seven points off six LCA turnovers.
Kyle Rode led LCA with 33 points including four three point baskets, 11 of 13 free throws, six rebounds, and nine assists. Carter Hendrickson added 20 points and seven rebounds. Austin Hall recorded 13 points, seven rebounds, and seven blocked shots. Kyle Rode was named Tournament MVP.
Devontae Hayes led Lafayette with 13 points and eight rebounds. Eric Powell added 11 points. Cameron King recorded 10 points including three three point baskets.
