Tates Creek raced out to a 37-0 lead before Dunbar scored two touchdowns in the final three minutes to make the final score 37-14. Tates Creek recorded 11 first downs and 235 yards of total offense. The Commodores were penalized 10 times for 78 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted. Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded seven first downs and 92 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were penalized four times for 34 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.
Marcus Bosley led Tates Creek’s ground game with 41 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries. Luke Duby completed 10 of 19 passes for 199 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Mikaleb Coffey caught four passes for 77 yards and a touchdown. Miles Thomas added three receptions for 90 yards and a touchdown. Mikaleb Coffey returned two punts for 22 yards and one kickoff for 20 yards. Hayden Kenny led the defense with three solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss. Zack Taluskie added two solo and one assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards. D. Dobbins added two solo and one assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards. Marcus Bosley also recorded two solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards. Keshawn Herron added two solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 32 yards. Jalen Barnett also returned a pass he returned 47 yards. JD Hawkins and Brandon Tichnor each recovered a fumble.
Josiah Brown led Dunbar’s ground game with 29 yards on two carries. Dre Thurston carried the ball twice for 21 yards. Jake Smith added 15 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries. Tanner Cox completed three of eight passes for 15 yards with one interception. Jake Smith completed two of four passes for 53 yards with one interception. Dre Thurston caught three passes for 54 yards. Mitchell Joseph returned one kickoff for 49 yards. Nate Thomas led the defense with three solo and three assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards. Mason Haggard and Brayden Moore each recorded three solo tackles. Weston Holloman intercepted a pass he returned seven yards.
