The weather was raw, cold and windy, both teams combined for 22 penalties for 162 yards and nine turnovers but Madison Central finally shook off their lethargy on offense and scored 13 points in the final quarter to earn a 13-10 victory over Tates Creek. Madison Central recorded 12 first downs and 252 yards of total offense. The Indians were penalized 11 times for 85 yards, lost three fumbles, and had one pass intercepted. Tates Creek recorded 15 first downs and 264 yards of total offense. The Commodores were penalized 11 times for 77 yards, lost three fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.
Freddie Chenault led Madison Central’s ground game with 61 yards on 17 carries. Ethan Hahn carried the ball 10 times for 36 yards. Delsin Tsotigh added 36 yards on three carries. Derrick Miller carried the ball nine times for 26 yards. Derrick Miller completed four of 11 passes for 93 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Ethan Hahn caught two passes for 67 yards and a touchdown. Blake Muntz added two receptions for 26 yards and a touchdown. Delsin Tsotigh returned one kickoff for 27 yards. Jackson Juett led the defense with two solo and eight assisted tackles and recovered a fumble. John Collins added five solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss. Blake Muntz recorded two solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss. Kenton Humphrey intercepted a pass he returned 24 yards. Kolby Jackson and Julius Dray each recovered a fumble and Nate Storie intercepted a pass.
Marcus Bosley led Tates Creek’s ground game with 56 yards on 11 carries. Willie McGhee carried the ball three times for 21 yards. Luke Duby completed 19 of 32 passes for 184 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions. Marcus Bosley caught five passes for 43 yards. Devonta Clay added four receptions for 51 yards. Mikaleb Coffey caught three passes for 36 yards. Miles Thomas added three receptions for 33 yards and a touchdown. Marcus Bosley led the defense with two solo and eight assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards and intercepted a pass he returned 10 yards. Jaheim Mullins added eight solo and one assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards. Thomas Galashaw and Noah Jones each recorded one solo and six assisted tackles and Galashaw recovered a fumble. Del Jones added six assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.
