Highlands took advantage of Anderson County’s turnovers to earn a 14-10 victory over the Bearcats.  Highlands recorded 20 first downs and 316 yards of total offense.  The Bluebirds were penalized 11 times for 112 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.  Anderson County recorded 17 first downs and 272 yards of total offense.  The Bearcats were penalized eight times for 97 yards and lost six fumbles.

C.Schwalbach led Highlands’ ground game with 115 yards on 24 carries.  Joe Buten carried the ball nine times for 57 yards.  Grady Cramer completed 12 of 23 passes for 149 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions.  C. Schwalbach caught five passes for 49 yards.  Austin King added three receptions for 33 yards.  Ethan Houze caught two passes for 32 yards and a touchdown.  B. Huddleston returned one kickoff for 45 yards.  Jacob Brass led the defense with nine solo tackles and recovered a fumble.  B. Huddleston added eight solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss.  A. Reynolds recorded five solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 20 yard loss and recovered a fumble.  Ben Sisson added two solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a five yard loss and scored on a 45 yard fumble recovery.  Tyler Bracken also recovered a fumble.

Charles Collins led Anderson County’s ground game with 210 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries.  Brennon Maxberry carried the ball 10 times for 32 yards.  Jagger Gillis completed four of seven passes for 47 yards.  Wesley Ruehrwein caught a pass for 23 yards.  Kynan Russell added a 20 yard reception.  Colton Cornish led the defense with nine solo tackles and recovered a fumble.  B. Aldridge added eight solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.  Justin Wilhoit recorded seven solo tackles.  Charles Collins added four solo tackles and intercepted two passes with 22 return yards.  D. Dearinger also recovered a fumble.
