Covington Catholic raced out to a 36-0 halftime lead on their way to a 36-14 victory over Pulaski County.  Covington Catholic improves to 14-0 and advances to the 5A championship game.  Pulaski County finishes their season at 11-3. Wiley Cain finishes his career at Pulaski County with 35 touchdown passes.  Jake Sloan finished the year with 117 catches for 1670 yards and 13 touchdowns.  Covington Catholic recorded eight first downs and 259 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized four times for 27 yards and lost a fumble.  Pulaski County recorded 13 first downs and 209 yards of total offense.  The Maroons were penalized three times for 33 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Casey McGinness led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 70 yards and a touchdown on six carries.  Caleb Jacob completed seven of eight passes for 161 yards and three touchdowns.  Luke Summe caught two passes for 66 yards and a touchdown.  Casey McGinness added two receptions for 24 yards and a touchdown.  Jack Coldiron caught a 55 yard touchdown pass.  Casey McGinness returned one punt for 59 yards.  D. Felix led the defense with four solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a nine yard loss.  L. Stegman, M. Mayer, and J. Blank each recorded three solo tackles.  B. Dickhaus intercepted a pass.

T. Cox led Pulaski County’s ground game with 23 yards on four carries.  Wiley Cain completed 21 of 33 passes for 165 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Jake Sloan caught eight passes for 118 yards and a touchdown.  E. Casada added three receptions for 33 yards and a touchdown.  I. Ware returned three kickoffs for 56 yards with a long return of 23 yards.  E. Mercer returned two kickoffs for 38 yards with a long return of 19 yards.  K. Hargis led the defense with seven solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss.  E. Mercer added five solo and one assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards.
