DuPont Manual coach Jess Sparks started the following lineup: 5-5 Sr. Nyah Smith, 5-5 Jr. Anna Littlefield, 6-1 Sr. Nila Blackford, 5-5 Fr. Ayanna Stroud, and 5-6 Jr. Jennay Riley.  Eastern coach Josh Leslie countered with 5-10 So. Marissa Gasaway, 5-9 Sr. Jaidyn Townsend, 5-11 Sr. Mikayla Kinnard, 5-8 Sr. Kiara Pearl, and 5-8 Sr. Tedi Nunn.

The score was tied 28-28 at halftime but Eastern pulled away in the second half to earn a 63-54 victory over DuPont Manual.  The score was tied seven times and there were eight lead changes in the game.  Eastern shot 45.6% from the field including four of 14 from the three point line.  The Lady Eagles connected on seven of 13 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 27 Manual turnovers.  Manual shot 38.8% from the field including zero of three from beyond the arc.  The Lady Crimsons connected on 16 of 23 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 22 Eastern turnovers.

Kiara Pearl led Eastern with 22 points including two three point baskets and five steals.  Jaidyn Townsend added 13 points.  Marissa Gasaway recorded eight points and 12 rebounds.  Mikayla Kinnard added eight points, four rebounds, and eight assists.  Tedi Nunn also scored eight points.

Nila Blackford led Manual with 18 points, 14 rebounds, two blocked shots, and three steals.  Ayanna Stroud added 13 points.  Nyah Smith recorded 10 points, four rebounds, and four steals.
