Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir started the following lineup: 5-10 Fr. Josie Gilvin, 5-7 Fr. Olivia Kaufman, 6-0 Jr. Kristen Clemons, 5-5 Jr. Destinee Marshall, and 5-6 Sr. Ashlee Harris. (Sacred Heart is still without the services of star guard Erin Toller who is rehabbing from an injury).  George Rogers Clark coach Robbie Graham countered with  5-10 Sr. Haley Harrison, 5-9 Sr. Jasmine Flowers, 5-10 Sr. Maleaha Bell, 5-7 Jr. Shelbi Wilson, and 5-7 Jr. Kennedy Igo.

 

George Rogers Clark outscored Sacred Heart 19-9 in the second quarter on their way to a 77-62 victory over the Valkyries.  GRC shot 49.2% from the field including a sizzling 11 of 16 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on eight of 15 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 17 Sacred Heart turnovers.  Sacred Heart shot 50% from the field including two of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Valkyries connected on six of eight free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored eight points off 12 GRC turnovers.

 

Kennedy Igo led George Rogers Clark with 26 points including six three point baskets and five assists.  Hayley Harrison added 18 points including two three point baskets.  Maleaha Bell recorded 14 points and four rebounds

 

Ashlee Harris led Sacred Heart with 20 points, five assists, and six steals.  Kristen Clemons added 14 points, 12 rebounds, four blocked shots, and four steals.  Destinee Marshall recorded 13 points and four rebounds.
