Lexington Catholic coach Scott True started the following lineup: 5-8 So. Ariel West, 5-5 Sr. Catey Nash, 5-8 Sr. Maylo Given, 5-5 Sr. Morgan Rakes, and 5-5 Fr. Hannah Carlisle. 5-9 Sr. Jay Ballard is still out rehabbing an injury. West Jessamine coach Chris Begley countered with 5-8 Sr. Faith Osborne, 5-8 So. Alleyse Steinkuhl, 6-0 Fr. Delaysia Thomas, 5-5 So. Haylee Rutherford, and 5-4 Sr. Madilynn McDonald.
Lexington Catholic pulled away late to earn a 52-45 come-from-behind victory over West Jessamine. Lexington Catholic outscored West Jessamine 15-6 in the final quarter. Neither team could find the range from the field but the game was played throughout at an up tempo with excellent effort from both squads. Lexington Catholic shot 24.2% from the field including three of 16 from the three point line. The Lady Knights connected on 19 of 29 free throws, pulled down 47 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 27 West Jessamine turnovers. West Jessamine shot 28.9% from the field including four of 12 from beyond the arc. The Colts connected on 15 of 21 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 18 Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Ariel West led Lexington Catholic with 15 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, three blocked shots, and three steals. 5-9 Fr. Chloe Treece added 10 points and nine rebounds. Maylo Given recorded eight points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and three steals.
Faith Osborne led West Jessamine with 18 points including two three point baskets, eight rebounds, and three blocked shots. Madilynn McDonald added 12 points, four rebounds, two assists, and four steals. Alleyse Steinkuhl pulled down nine rebounds.
