Ballard vs. Scott County (Boys)

Ballard coach Chris Renner started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Walter Johnson, 6-1 Sr. Kaelon Harkema, 6-4 8th Grade Kaleb Glenn, 6-0 Sr. Isaac Womack, and 6-1 Jr. Lewis Richards.  Scott County coach Billy Hicks countered with 6-1 Sr. Lorenzo Williams, 6-1 Sr. Bryce Long, 6-7 Sr. Michael Moreno, 5-8 Sr. Cam Fluker, and 5-9 Sr. Diablo Stewart.

 

Scott County scored 31 points off 19 Ballard turnovers, recorded 13 steals, and seven blocked shots in an 85-57 victory over the Bruins.  Scott County shot 56.7% from the field including seven of 15 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 10 of 15 free throws and pulled down 38 rebounds.  Ballard shot 36.5% from the field including six of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Bruins connected on 13 of 21 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 15 Scott County turnovers.

 

Michael Moreno led Scott County with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Diablo Stewart added 18 points including three three point baskets.  Lorenzo Williams recorded 17 points and four rebounds. 

 

Walter Johnson led Ballard with 17 points.  5-10 Sr. Garrett Case and Lewis Richards each scored nine points.
