Fern Creek coach Shanda Miller started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Tyasia Brown, 5-7 Sr. Kayla Harris, 6-1 Sr. Tiana Austin, 5-5 8th Grader. Triniti Ralston, and 5-7 Sr. Myana Foree. Christian Academy of Louisville coach Perry White countered with 5-10 Jr. Shelby Calhoun, 5-9 Sr. Sarah McDonald, 6-0 Sr. Arina Khlopkova, 5-7 Fr. Jayla McClure, and 5-8 Jr. Mia Beam.
Christian Academy of Louisville utilized a balanced scoring attack to defeat Fern Creek by a score of 86-61. CAL shot 50% from the field including four of 14 from the three point line. The Lady centurions connected on 18 of 28 free throws, pulled down 53 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 19 Fern Creek turnovers. Fern Creek shot 30.2% from the field including one of 18 from beyond the arc. The Tigers connected on 22 of 30 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 23 CAL turnovers.
Mia Beam led a balanced CAL attack with 16 points and three steals. Jayla McClure added 15 points, five rebounds, and four steals. Sarah McDonald recorded 14 points and nine rebounds. Arina Khlopkova chipped in with 13 points and four rebounds. Shelby Calhoun recorded 13 points, 20 rebounds, five assists, and five steals.
Triniti Ralston led Fern Creek with 19 points including 11 of 12 free throws and five rebounds. Myana Foree added 11 points and five rebounds. Tiana Austin recorded 10 points and eight rebounds.
