Woodford County vs. Franklin County (Girls)

Franklin County survived to defeat Woodford County by a score of 65-59.  Woodford County created a matchup nightmare for the Lady Flyers with 6-1 Jr. Kayla Harlow and  6-0 Jr. Delaney Enlow patrolling the middle which kept Franklin County in foul problems all evening.  Samareah Levarity and Brooklynn Miles eventually fouled out but the Lady Flyers forced Woodford County into 26 turnovers and hit enough three point baskets to survive.

Franklin County shot 35.5% from the field including 10 of 26 from the three point line.  The Lady Flyers connected on 11 of 20 free throws and pulled down 24 rebounds.  Woodford County shot 48.6% from the field including one of seven from beyond the arc.  The Lady Yellow Jackets connected on 22 of 30 free throws and pulled down 44 rebounds.

5-6 So. Brooklynn Miles led Franklin County with 20 points including five three point baskets, four assists, and five steals.  5-10 Fr. Patience Laster added 12 points, nine rebounds, and three steals.  5-4 Sr. Julia Welsh recorded nine points, three rebounds, and three steals.

The “Twin Towers” Enlow and Harlow led Woodford County with 19 and 18 points respectively.  They also pulled down 14 and 10 points respectively.
