Lexington Catholic coach Scott True started the following lineup: 5-9 Fr. Chloe Treece, 5-8 So. Aerial West, 5-8 Sr. Maylo Given, 5-4 Fr. Rachel Smith, and 5-5 Sr. Catey Nash. (Lexington Catholic was missing Jay Ballard, Farah Weldon, and Morgan Rakes due to injuries).  Bryan Station coach Brian Hall countered with 5-8 Sr. Kelynn Clay, 5-8 Sr. Amilleon Black, 5-9 Sr. Farrin Lymon, 5-0 So. Natoria Godoy, and 5-4 Sr. Stephanie Bueno.

 

Bryan Station rallied from a 14 point deficit in the first quarter to defeat Lexington Catholic 63-61.  The score was tied five times and there were 11 lead changes in the game.  Turnovers (33) and the inability to keep Clay and Godoy out of the lane proved to be the downfall for Lexington Catholic tonight.

 

Bryan Station shot 34.3% from the field including five of 20 from the three point line.  The Lady Defenders connected on 10 of 21 free throws, pulled down 46 rebounds, and scored 30 points off 33 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 38.5% from the field including two of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Knights connected on 19 of 32 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 24 Bryan Station turnovers.

 

Kelynn Clay led Bryan Station with 23 points including eight of 14 free throws, three rebounds, two blocked shots, and eight steals.  Natoria Godoy added 21 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists.  5-7 Fr. Tania Woodall chipped in with seven points.  Amilleon Black and Farrin Lymon pulled down eight and seven rebounds respectively.

 

Chloe Treece led Lexington Catholic with 15 points, three rebounds, and two steals.  Aerial West added 13 points including eight of eight free throws.  Rachel Smith chipped in with 10 points.  Catey Nash added nine points.  5-5 Fr. Hannah Carlisle added five points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Maylo Given recorded five points, seven rebounds, and four assists.
