George Mason University coach Nya Milleson started the following lineup: 6-0 Jr. Jacy Bolton, 6-0 So. Camarie Gatling, 6-2 Jr. Allie McCool, 5-7 So. Nicole Cardano-Hillary, and 5-9 So. Marika Korpinen.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Chrissy Roberts countered with 6-0 Jr. Catie Kaifes, 5-11 So. Bria Bass, 5-11 Sr. Abby Wright, 5-6 So. Teri Goodlett, and 5-8 Jr. Shay Solomon.

George Mason led 58-56 after three quarters but outscored Eastern Kentucky 33-19 in the final stanza to defeat the Colonels by a score of 91-75.  Eastern Kentucky was unable to keep Nicole Cardano-Hillary out of the lane and she torched the Colonels for 33 points.  George Mason shot 57.6% from the field including eight of 19 from the three point line.  They connected on 12 of 13 from the field and eight of eight from the free throw line in the final quarter. The Patriots connected on 15 of 18 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 16 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 41.9% from the field including 11 of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 12 of 16 free throws, pulled down 31 free throws, and scored 11 points off 13 George Mason turnovers.

Nicole Cardano-Hillary led George Mason with 33 points including eight of eight free throws, five rebounds, five assists, and two steals.  Jacy Bolton added 18 points including four three point baskets, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Marika Korpinen and 5-6 Jr. Alexsis Grate each scored 10 points.

Abby Wright led Eastern Kentucky with 18 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and five steals.  Shay Solomon added 17 points, six rebounds, and three assists.  Bria Bass recorded 11 points including two three point baskets and seven rebounds.  Catie Kaifes chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and three assists.  5-5 Fr. Mashayla Cecil added nine points on three three point baskets.  Teri Goodlett also scored nine points.
