South Shore (Brooklyn NY) coach Shawn Mark started the following lineup: 6-5 Sr. Phillips Joseph, 6-5 Sr. Femi Odukale, 6-9 Sr. Isaiah Richards, 6-2 Sr. Dwight Davis Jr., and 6-5 Sr. Kadary Richmond.  Collins coach Chris Gaither countered with 6-3 Jr. Marcellus Vail, 6-1 Sr. Colby Eades, 6-3 Sr. Dane Kidwell, 5-10 Jr. Tyson Turner, and 6-1 Jr. Dayvion McKnight.

 

Collins led 59-57 with approximately two minutes remaining on the clock but South Shore rallied for a 62-59 victory and the KOB championship.  Collins’ Marcellus Vail had a chance for a game tying three pointer with 10 seconds remaining but the shot would not fall ensuring the South Shore victory.  There were five lead changes and 11 ties in the game.

 

South Shore shot 54.3% from the field including six of 17 from the three point line.  The Vikings connected on six of 10 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 14 Collins turnovers.  Collins shot 48.8% from the field including 12 of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Titans connected on seven of 11 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored nine points off 10 South Shore turnovers.

 

Kadary Richmond led South Shore with 16 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two blocked shots.  Dwight Davis Jr. added 15 points including two three point baskets.  Isaiah Richards recorded nine points, six rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Femi Odukale added eight points, four rebounds, and seven assists.

 

Marcellus Vail led Collins with 22 points including six three point baskets and five rebounds.  Dayvion McKnight added 19 points including three three point baskets, eight rebounds, seven assists, and two blocked shots.
