Frankfort coach Chris O’Bryan started the following lineup: 6-2 Jr. Chaz Austin, 5-11 Jr. Will O’Bryan, 6-6 Sr. John Tillman, 6-0 Sr. DaJuan Davis, and 6-2 Sr. Juanya Frank. Montgomery County coach Matt Daniels countered with 6-4 Sr. Pharoah Davis, 6-1 Sr. Jonathan Kosier, 6-6 Sr. Will Cockrell, 5-11 Sr. Myron Ralls, and 6-1 Jr. Austin Eichenberger.
Frankfort raced out to a 23-14 first quarter lead on their way to a 79-63 victory over Montgomery County to earn the championship. Frankfort shot 50% from the field including three of 11 from the three point line. The Panthers connected on 16 of 29 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 14 Montgomery County turnovers. Montgomery County shot 36.2% from the field including six of 21 from beyond the arc. The Indians connected on 15 of 24 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 12 Frankfort turnovers.
Juanya Frank led Frankfort with 22 points including two three point baskets, 10 rebounds, eight assists, and three steals. John Tillman added 19 points and 11 rebounds. DaJuan Davis recorded 19 points, eight rebounds, and four assists.
Austin Eichenberger led Montgomery County with 14 points including two three point baskets and three blocked shots. Pharoah Davis added 13 points13 rebounds, and three blocked shots. Will Cockrell recorded nine points and three blocked shots.
