Rockcastle County coach Chrysti Noble started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Casey Coleman, 5-7 Sr. Emma Bullens, 5-11 Jr. Mackenzie Himes, 5-4 Jr. Shelby Newland, and 5-6 Sr. Kassi Lay. Floyd Central coach Justin Triplett countered with 5-10 So. Katie Moore, 5-7 Sr. Lauren Preston, 5-8 Sr. Kaylee Moore, 5-2 So. Brooke Stumbo, and 5-5 8th Grader Abby Maggard.
Floyd Central defeated Rockcastle County 57-54 to capture the championship. Floyd Central shot 45.8% from the field including one of 12 from the three point line. The Lady Jaguars connected on 12 of 24 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 25 Rockcastle County turnovers. Rockcastle County shot 33.3% from the field including four of 19 from beyond the arc. The Lady Rockets connected on 12 of 19 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 20 Floyd Central turnovers.
Katie Moore led Floyd Central with 21 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, and four steals. 5-10 Fr. Grace Martin added 13 points and 12 rebounds. Kaylee Moore recorded 11 points, four rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and three steals.
Shelby Newland led Rockcastle County with 12 points and three assists. Casey Coleman added 10 points, six rebounds, four assists, five blocked shots, and three steals. 5-11 8th Grader Hallie Jones pulled 10 rebounds.
