Scott County vs. Henry Clay (Boys)

Scott County coach Billy Hicks started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Lorenzo Williams, 6-1 Sr. Glenn Covington, 6-2 Sr. Bryce Long, 5-9 Sr. Cam Fluker, and 5-9 Sr. Diablo Stewart.  Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-2 Jr. Marques Warrick, 6-2 Sr. Keaston Brown, 6-4 Sr. Harris Hawkins, 5-10 Scott Hersey, and 6-0 Sr. Marquis Mackey.

 

Henry Clay raced out to an early 17-7 lead but Scott County outscored the Blue Devils 17-9 in the third quarter on their way to a 67-59 Victory.  Scott County shot 43.2% from the field including four of 17 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 25 of 27 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored eight points off nine Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 46.9% from the field including five of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Blue Devils connected on eight of 13 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 11 Scott County turnovers.

 

Bryce Long led Scott County with 15 points and four rebounds.  Diablo Stewart added 14 points including two three point baskets.  Lorenzo Williams recorded 10 points and 12 rebounds.  6-3 Sr. Kobi Harris chipped in with 10 points, five rebounds, and two blocked shots.  6-5 Jr. Terrin Hamilton added nine points and four rebounds.

 

Marques Warrick led Henry Clay with 23 points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, and four assists.  Harris Hawkins added 17 points and four rebounds.
