Owensboro Catholic coach Michael Robertson started the following lineup: 6-0 Jr. Hannah McKay, 6-2 Sr. Sarah Beth Clemens, 6-2 Sr. MacKenzie Keelin, 5-7 Jr. Caroline Reid, and 5-7 Jr. Spencer Harvey. Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-10 Fr. Josie Gilvin, 5-9 Jr. Callie Birk, 6-0 Jr. Kristen Clemons. 5-5 Jr. Destinee Marshall, and 5-6 Sr. Ashlee Harris.
Sacred Heart Academy defeated Owensboro Catholic by a score of 50-48. The score was tied four times and there were 12 lead changes in the game. Sacred Heart shot 42.2% from the field including four of 15 from the three point line. The Valkyries connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 14 Owensboro Catholic turnovers. Owensboro Catholic shot 39.6% from the field including four of nine from beyond the arc. The Lady Aces connected on six of 10 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 10 Sacred Heart turnovers.
Kristen Clemons led Sacred heart with 18 points including seven of eight free throws and six rebounds. Destinee Marshall and 5-7 Fr. Olivia Kaufman added eight points each. Ashlee Harris recorded four points, three rebounds, nine assists, and three steals.
Hannah McKay led Owensboro Catholic with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Spencer Harvey added seven points and six rebounds. 5-9 Jr. Isabella Henning chipped in with seven points. MacKenzie Keelin recorded six points, four rebounds, two assists, and three blocked shots.
