Berea led three points at halftime but Clay County rallied for a 58-50 victory. Clay County shot 44.2% from the field including seven of 27 from the three point line. The Lady Tigers connected on five of 10 free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and committed two turnovers. Berea shot 66.7% from the field including five of eight from beyond the arc. The Lady Pirates connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 17 rebounds, and committed 16 turnovers.
5-9 Jr. Kaylee Mathis led Clay County with 27 points including three three point baskets and six rebounds. 5-9 Sr. Summer Parker added 11 points and four rebounds. 5-6 Sr. Kimberlyn Mills recorded eight points including two three point baskets. 5-8 Sr. Shelby Phillips added seven points.
6-0 Fr. Madison Howell led Berea with 16 points including three three point baskets and five rebounds. 5-5 Fr. Mati Stepp added 14 points including five of five free throws, five rebounds, and nine assists. 5-7 8th Grade Chesney Lovins chipped in with nine points.
