Frederick Douglass coach Shawn Ransom started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Destyne Jackson, 5-7 So. Niyuane Gentry, 5-9 Fr. Allison Wallace, 5-4 Fr. Haley Buckman, and 5-5 So. Shania Mayes. Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-10 Sr. Lindi DeBilzan, 5-11 Fr. Anaya Brown, 5-11 Sr. Macey Goff, 5-6 Fr. Lauren Walton, and 5-7 Fr. Olivia Cathers.
Lafayette defeated Frederick Douglass by a score of 71-42. Lafayette shot 49.2% from the field including five of 12 from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on eight of 13 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 35 points off 24 Frederick Douglass turnovers. Frederick Douglass shot 30.2% from the field including five of 17 from beyond the arc. The Lady Broncos connected on 11 of 16 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored eight points off 14 Lafayette turnovers.
Lindi DeBilzan led Lafayette with 19 points including three three point baskets, eight rebounds, and seven assists. Lauren Walton added 17 points. Anaya Brown recorded 16 points, six rebounds, and three steals. Macey Goff added eight points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and five steals.
Destyne Jackson led Frederick Douglass with 26 points including four three point baskets and six of seven free throws. 5-6 Sr. Ovyonne Taylor added six points, five rebounds, and two steals.
