Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir started the following lineup: 5-11 Fr. Alex Wolff, 5-10 Fr. Josie Gilvin, 6-0 Jr. Kristen Clemons, 5-5 Jr. Destinee Marshall, and 5-6 Sr. Ashlee Harris.  Campbell County coach Beau Menefee countered with 5-8 Fr. Kylie Koeninger, 5-8 Jr. Hope Russell, 5-10 Sr. Tamara Wells, 5-3 Jr. Jalyn Jackson, and 5-6 Jr. Mallory Holbrook.

 

Campbell County led 29-23 at halftime but Sacred Heart Academy rallied to edge out the Lady Camels by a score of 57-56.  The score was tied six times and there were eight lead changes in the game.  Sacred Heart shot 41.1% from the field including two of 18 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on nine of 15 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 15 Campbell County turnovers.  Campbell County shot 42.2% from the field including seven of 26 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Camels shot 11 of 12 from the free throw line, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 10 points off eight Sacred Heart turnovers.

 

Kristen Clemons led Sacred Heart with 20 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shorts.  Josie Gilvin added 10 points and seven rebounds.  Ashlee Harris recorded 10 points, four rebounds, and five steals.

 

Mallory Holbrook led Campbell County with 20 points including five of five free throws.  Jalyn Jackson added 16 points including two three point baskets, six of six free throws, and seven rebounds.  Hope Russell recorded 10 points including two three point baskets.  Kylie Koeninger chipped in with seven points and 10 rebounds.  Tamara Wells recorded three points, nine rebounds, and two blocked shots.
