Southeast Missouri coach Rekha Patterson started the following lineup: 6-0 So. Jocelyn Taylor, 5-10 So. Tesia Thompson, 6-2 Sr. Losmie Lutaya, 5-3 Sr. Adrianna Murphy, and 5-4 Sr. Carrie Shephard. Eastern Kentucky University coach Chrissy Roberts countered with 5-11 So. Bria Bass, 5-8 Jr. Shay Solomon, 6-0 Jr. Catie Kaifes, 5-5 Fr. Mashayla Cecil, and 5-6 So. Teri Goodlett.
Southeast Missouri pulled away in the second half to defeat Eastern Kentucky University by a score of 52-42. The score was tied three times and there were six lead changes in this game. Southeast Missouri shot 39.6% from the field including five of 17 from the three point line. The Redhawks connected on five of 10 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 20 Eastern Kentucky turnovers. Tesia Thompson led Southeast Missouri with 17 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, and four steals. Jocelyn Taylor added 11 points. 6-1 So. Kennedi Allen recorded six points, four rebounds, and two blocked shots.
Shay Solomon led Eastern Kentucky University with 12 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Catie Kaifes added 10 points including two three point baskets and eight rebounds. Teri Goodlett chipped in with eight points and two steals.
