Jacksonville State coach Rick Pietri started the following lineup: 6-1 Jr. Chloe Long, 5-11 Sr. Destiney Elliott, 6-2 Sr. Rayven Pearson, 5-6 So. Taylor Hawks, and 5-11 Fr. Yamia Johnson.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Chrissy Roberts countered with 6-0 Jr. Catie Kaifes, 5-10 Fr. Hailey McCoy, 6-2 Sr. Madison Pierce, 5-6 So. Teri Goodlett, and 5-8 Jr. Shay Solomon.

Jacksonville State pulled away in the second half to defeat Eastern Kentucky University by a score of 53-44.  The score was tied five times and there were two lead changes in the game.  Jacksonville State shot 33.9% from the field including four of 18 from the three point line.  The Gamecocks connected on nine of 15 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 16 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 35.8% from the field including one of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 29 of 35 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored eight points off 14 Jacksonville State turnovers.

Yamia Johnson led Jacksonville State with 15 points including two three point baskets.  Taylor Hawks added 11 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Chloe Long chipped in with 10 points.  Rayven Pearson added five points, 13 rebounds, and three blocked shots.

Shay Solomon led Eastern Kentucky with 12 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.  5-11 So. Bria Bass added 11 points, six rebounds, and two steals.  Catie Kaifes recorded four points, 12 rebounds, three assists, and four blocked shots.
