Trinity coach Mike Szabo started the following lineup: 6-5 Sr. David Johnson, 6-3 Sr. Jamil Hardaway, 6-4 Sr. Stan Turnier, 5-8 Sr. Kolton Rice, and 6-0 Sr. Kamari Kenemore.  Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-2 Jr. Marques Warrick, 6-0 Jr. Marquis Mackey, 6-4 Sr. Harris Hawkins, 5-10 Sr. Scott Hersey, and 6-1 Sr. Keaston Brown.

 

Harris Hawkins connected on a three point basket with 1:20 left in the game to give Henry Clay the lead for good in a 52-50 victory over the #2 team in the state Trinity.  Trinity held six point leads on two occasions bur Henry Clay rallied for the win.  There were three ties and nine lead changes in the game.

 

Henry Clay shot 42.2% from the field including five of 21 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on nine of 13 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored two points off 11 Trinity turnovers.  Trinity shot 47.6% from the field including five of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Shamrocks connected on five of seven free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored seven points off 10 Henry Clay turnovers.

 

Keaston Brown led Henry Clay with 18 points and four rebounds.  Harris Hawkins added 16 points including two three point baskets, nine rebounds, and three assists.  Marques Warrick recorded 10 points.

 

Stan Turnier led Trinity with 11 points including three three point baskets.  David Johnson added 10 points, eight rebounds, and three assists.  Jamil Hardaway also scored 10 points.
