Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman started the following lineup: 6-6 Sr. Brice Scott, 6-2 Sr. John Poulton, 6-7 Sr. Sam Vaughn, 6-0 Sr. Patrick Geoghegan, and 6-3 So. Ben Johnson.  Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. countered with 6-4 So. Kole Browne, 6-1 So. Braeden Ray, 6-8 Sr. Isaiah Cozart, 5-10 Sr. Quaezhan Charlton, and 5-10 Sr. Deion Cox.

 

Madison Central trailed 17-9 after the first quarter but rallied to lead 41-38 after three quarters on their way to a 69-56 victory over Lexington Catholic.  The score was tied five times and there were four lead changes in this game.  Madison Central shot 51.4% from the field including three of 11 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 28 of 35 free throws, and scored 18 points off 14 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 48.8% from the field including four of nine from beyond the arc.  The Knights connected on 12 of 17 free throws, pulled down 16 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 16 Madison Central turnovers.

 

Isaiah Cozart led Madison Central with 26 points including 12 of 13 free throws, six rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Quaezhan Charlton added 13 points including six of six free throws and four rebounds.  Braeden Ray recorded 12 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and three assists.  Kole Browne added 10 points, six rebounds, and three assists.  Deion Cox dished out seven assists.

 

Ben Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 40 points including four three point baskets, three rebounds, and two steals.  Brice Scott added nine points.
