Belmont University coach Bart Brooks started the following lineup: 6-0 Jr. Maura Muensterman, 6-0 Jr. Ellie Harmeyer, 6-1 Jr. Maddie Wright, 5-5 Sr. Darby Maggard, and 5-11 Sr. Jenny Roy.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Chrissy Roberts countered with 5-11 So. Bria Bass, 5-11 Gr. Paige Murphy, 6-0 Jr. Catie Kaifes, 5-6 So. Teri Goodlett, and 5-8 Jr. Shay Solomon.

Belmont raced out to an 18-5 first quarter lead and was never threatened in an 87-52 victory over Eastern Kentucky.  Belmont shot 50.7% from the field including 10 of 29 from the three point line.  The Bruins connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 49 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 12 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 33.3% from the field including four of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on eight of 11 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 12 Belmont turnovers.

Ellie Harmeyer led Belmont with 17 points including two three point baskets and 10 rebounds.  Maura Muensterman added 15 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and two assists.  Darby Maggard recorded 12 points and four assists.  6-1 Fr. Conley Chinn added 13 points and four rebounds.  Maddie Wright recorded nine points on three three point baskets, nine rebounds, and four assists.  Jenny Roy added eight points, 12 rebounds, and five assists.

Bria Bass led Eastern Kentucky with 12 points including two three point baskets and seven rebounds.  Teri Goodlett added 12 points, three rebounds, and three assists.  Paige Murphy chipped in with eight points.  Shay Solomon added six points, five rebounds, and three assists.
