Scott County coach Steve Helton started the following lineup: 6-0 So. Kenady Tomkins, 5-10 Sr. Maaliya Owens, 6-2 Jr. Malea Williams, 5-5 Sr. Juliette Smith, and 5-5 Jr. Morgan DeFoor. Bryan Station coach Brian Hall countered with 5-8 Sr. Kelynn Clay, 5-7 Sr. Kristen McGeachy, 5-8 Sr. Amilleon Black, 5-1 So. Tori Godoy, and 5-3 Sr. Stephanie Bueno.
Scott County raced out to a 38-8 first quarter lead on their way to a 95-42 victory over Bryan Station. Scott County shot 60% from the field including nine of 20 from the three point line. The Lady Cardinals connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 40 points off 24 Bryan Station turnovers. Bryan Station shot 31.4% from the field including seven of 25 from beyond the arc. The Lady Defenders connected on three of six free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored eight points off 12 Scott County turnovers.
Maaliya Owens led Scott County with 25 points including three three point baskets, three assists, and four steals. Malea Williams added 19 points, 10 rebounds, and three steals. Williams was nine of nine from the field and one of two free throws. Morgan DeFoor recorded 11 points, seven assists, and two steals. Kenady Tomkins chipped in with 10 points and eight rebounds.
Kelynn Clay led Bryan Station with 18 points including three three point baskets. 5-7 Fr. Tania Woodall added 10 points and eight rebounds.
