Campbell County vs. Scott County (Girls)

Campbell County coach Beau Menefee started the following lineup: 5-8 Fr. Kylie Koeninger, 5-6 Jr. Mallory Holbrook, 5-10 Sr. Tamara Wells, 5-3 Jr. Jalyn Jackson, and 5-5 Jr. Haley Turner.  Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 6-0 So. Kenady Tomkins, 5-10 Sr. Maaliya Owens, 6-2 Jr. Malea Williams, 5-5 Sr. Juliette Smith, and 5-5 Jr. Morgan DeFoor.

 

Scott County defeated Campbell County by a score of 60-51.  Scott County shot 40.4% from the field including two of 13 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 12 of 14 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 19 Campbell County turnovers.  Campbell County shot 34.1% from the field including 10 of 27 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Camels connected on 13 of 14 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored five points off 11 Scott County turnovers.

 

Maaliya Owens led Scott County with 23 points including eight of eight free throws, four rebounds, and six steals.  Malea Williams added 12 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots.  Morgan DeFoor recorded 10 points, three rebounds, and three assists.  Juliette Smith chipped in with nine points, four rebounds, six assists, and three steals.  Kenady Tomkins added six points and seven rebounds.

 

Tamara Wells led Campbell County with 14 points including seven of eight free throws, 10 rebounds, and three assists.  Haley Turner added 12 points on four three point baskets.  Mallory Holbrook recorded 11 points.  Kylie Koeninger chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets and six rebounds.  Jalyn Jackson added six points on two three point baskets, four rebounds, and five assists.
